At Luscinia International Women’s Choir of The Hague we believe in singing with fun. Founded in 2005 as Bliss, we changed our name in 2009 to Luscinia which means nightingale in Latin.
Who we are
We are a small international English speaking choir and have around 25-30 members from all over the world. Think the British Isles, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Finland and Canada. We have four voice sections: 1st and 2nd soprano, 1st and 2nd alto.
New members
We are currently welcoming new members. When you first join, you will undergo a voice test to see in which section you fit best, but there is no audition. There is a 2 week trial period for new members to decide if we are a good fit for you, during which you will not pay the monthly fee. If you are interested in trying us out, then please contact us.
How much does it cost?
After your 2 week trial period, you can become a full member of the choir. The cost is € 35 per month, per person. This amount is used to cover expenses (paying the conductor, piano player, rent, etc).
When and where do we rehearse?
We rehearse every Monday from 19:30 to 21:30 in the AWC Bisschopstraat 5, 2596 XH, The Hague.

Performances
We usually aim to perform 2 times per year. We have taken part in choir festivals, charity performances, concerts for the elderly and events supported by the Gemeente Den Haag. Twice a year we organise a concert for friends and family, both in summer and winter.
